Why Choosing a Patented Pipe Lining Process Means Success

Patented Pipe Lining Process

In an industry booming with opportunity, pipe lining has become an instrumental tool for plumbing companies to include in their portfolio of services going forward. Gone are the days when a cracked drain line meant digging up floors or lawns. Trenchless pipe lining can provide a no-dig solution that is less disruptive and both cost and time effective. With a massive amount of pipes aging and deteriorating in recent decades the need for an efficient solution has lead many companies to enter into the business of producing pipe lining technologies, offering a wide variety of products and installation techniques.

In the industry, there are a wide variety of installation systems that deliver cured-in-place (CIPP) liners. Many liners are installed in completely different ways. For example, the pull-in delivery method is a popular installation process. By pulling the liner into the pipeline and directly placing it over the damaged section of the pipe, the resin will harden over the damaged sections of the pipeline.

The installation of resin-impregnated liners in pipelines presents certain challenges for both push in and pull-in delivery methods. Excessive friction during the positioning of the liner often causes longitudinal stresses on the liner often resulting in stretching. Stretching of the liner is undesirable and may result in weak regions of the lined pipelines, which increases the likelihood of future failures of the repaired pipe section.

Pipeline continuing bends (22 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees) and other fittings such as Y or T-junctions also present additional installation challenges. Creases in these transitional areas cause fluids to disturb flow and may initiate an obstruction in the pipeline. Proper installation of the liner requires the liner to be smoothly and evenly urged into contact with the surface of the pipeline. In transitional areas deficiencies are often due to the nonmalleable nature of these inflatable bladders, which often introduce folds and or creases into the liner. Clearly seeing a need for an improved liner assembly and installation process that can accommodate a wide variety of pipeline configurations, Nu Flow Technologies perfected and ultimately patented it’s materials and installation process.

Nu Flow Technologies’ liner assembly patent is an invention that provides a method of installing cured-in-place liners without the common industry challenges of excessive friction, longitudinal stress, stretching weak regions, line ruptures, creasing and fold in transitional areas. These industry faults have been eliminated by using this controlled liner assembly method of installation under patent # 7849.833. B2. Nu Flow Technologies Nu Drain installation technique  is a step by step process that produces reliable results.
